SENIOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING
PLANS PAINT A BRIGHT FUTURE
Most of the Senior Education and
Training (SET) Plans have been completed by our Year
10 students, their parents and a senior officer from
Chancellor State College. At Chancellor State College
we take the lodging of SET Plans very seriously as
there is significant evidence that the setting of
high and realistic goals is an important step to
reaching those goals. I acknowledge the work of
Deputy Principal Brian Parr for his leadership of
this process and the commitment of the office staff
that provided support for the process.
BEST WISHES TO YEAR 12 STUDENTS
FOR THE CORE SKILLS TEST
A great deal of preparation has
been undertaken to ensure that our year 12 students
are well prepared to undertake the two days of state
wide testing this Tuesday and Wednesday. Parents can
assist their son/daughter by ensuring that they
arrive at school well rested and as calm as possible.
I also encourage parents to stress to their
son/daughter the importance of not departing from the
test early but rather to double check answers.
PLANNING FOR END OF YEAR
CELEBRATIONS IS WELL UNDER WAY
The end of year celebrations are
important events for students, parents and teachers
of Chancellor College. Chancellor Excellence
Celebration will be conducted on Wednesday 11
November and the Year 12 Graduation and Formal will
be conducted on Thursday 19 November. Year 12
students will not be required to attend College on
Friday 20 November as the final roll call will take
place at the graduation.
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BALL COURTS
TO COMMENCE SOON
Two new ball courts are soon to be
built on the Senior campus. These courts will be
funded through the contribution of funds by the
College Parents and Citizens’ Association, Department
of Sport and Recreation and a successful gaming grant
lodged by the P and C. These courts will be built
adjacent to the existing courts.
